I reviewed two exceptionally amazing concerts for The Kansas City Star. Both leads have impressive reputations, and they did not disappoint. This past weekend was one of the most musically gratifying I’ve ever had (and lately the bar has been set pretty darn high).
I don’t often feel moved to issue a call to action, to recommend various acts. It’s my job to tell you what’s happening or what happened and usually I leave it at that: Here’s my value judgment, ’nuff said.
But in this case:
Go see the opera: Wed, Fri or Sun.
Next chance you get, Deborah Brown is an absolute must.
