What’s happening, Kansas City?
In a town full of exuberant creativity, we’re gearing up for the 2011/2012 concert season. We’ve just come off the tail end of a pretty stellar Fringe Festival and buckling down for the start of another exciting period in music making (and dance, and art, and you know, the stuff that makes life worth living). I’m doing a preview of the fall season for KCMetropolis.org for fusion/experimental performances/events/ensembles and I want you to be included.
What are you planning, scheming, dreaming, thinking, doing?
I want to know everything, which is impossible, I realize. In lieu of everything, I’m interested in information regarding new projects, new ensembles, music/art/dance/film collaborations, theremin orchestras, vegetable instruments, etc. Music that isn’t strictly jazz or classical or pop or rock or come with rigid definers.
Stuff like this. Or this. Or this.
Basically, tell me about your noise.
I’m working with a deadline, so if you’re doing something interesting on or after Sept. 1st, let me know by or before Aug. 28th.
Leave a comment with your information about dates and venues, links to music clips, websites or youTube videos, and a description of your project.
