REVIEW: Simon Carrington Chamber Singers

I reviewed the Simon Carrington Chamber Singers for The Kansas City Star.

Carrington mentioned at the start of the performance that they would not be turning off the air conditioning unit, as he has requested in past years, due to complaints. He made apologies if their pianissimos where affected by the sound of the AC hum.

Having experienced their performance two years previous, in the balcony, 8.5 months pregnant and impossibly uncomfortable, this reviewer was not about to fault them this practical choice. And considering that their pianissimos where executed almost flawlessly, a welcome choice.
